Fikri & Co is one of the leading firms in Northern Cyprus established in 1979 by the founding partner Ali Taner Fikri. The firm is located in the heart of central Lefkosa.

Our firm is also a “Registered Audit Firm” authorized by TRNC Central Bank to carry out audit of banks.

Management Team
Ali Taner Fikri YMM, FCA who is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) is the founder and Principal Partner of Fikri & Co Chartered Accountants. He served his Articles with Grant Thornton International Chartered Accountants, Sheffield, U.K. He qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 1973, become a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) in 1979. After qualifiying he worked in UK for a short period. Thereafter he returned to Cyprus and worked as a Chief Accountant in the private sector. During the years 1975-1979 he worked as the Chief Accountant, Financial Director and Company Secretary in a National Company established for the sole purpose of providing all possible needs of the Turkish Cypriot Community.
In May 1979 the established his personal Audit, Accountancy and Consulting firm. In 1991 he was awarded the title of “Sworn Financial Consultant” (YMM) of Turkey and joined an Audit and Accountancy firm in Istanbul representing Grant Thornton International, Chartered Accountants as a shareholder, director and auditor.
His first audit assignment in Turkey was the audit of British Petroleum, Turkey. During the period 1988 – 2002 he carried out audit assigments in respect of Turkish Companies who had been granted loans by IFC (World Bank) and/or by the Deutchland Export Guarantee Bank.
Ali Taner Fikri with his vast experience and knowledge in the fields of audit, tax and consultancy has gained the well deserved respect and admiration of both local and foreign clients. He is a well respected profesional whose motto is the satistaction of his clints at all times.
Murat Bertug is a Partner in the firm. He has completed his further education in UK and gained a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance. He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW). He is also a fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). After graduation Murat started his career in UK and upon his return to Cyprus he joined the firm in 2005. Murat has extensive experience in auditing of organisations across a variety of industries, taxation and business advisory.
Nihan Fikri is a Partner in the firm. She studied at Bilkent University, Ankara and attained a BA degree in Banking and Finance. In 2001 she was granted by the TRNC Minister of Finance the title of Authorised Accountant Auditor. In 2017 she was further authorised to carry out audit work for Public Companies too. In 2018 she become an Affiliate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW). She has been working in Fikri & Co. since 2001.
